Verifies dates of employment, position held, wages, and reason for leaving. We also inquire as to rehire status. Using Simplicity to verify employment history saves you valuable time and money and the frustration of playing phone tag and follow-up phone calls. At your request, we will interview supervisors and references listed by the job applicant. The interview will establish the relationship of the reference to the applicant and how long the reference has known the individual. It includes questions pertaining to the applicant’s job responsibilities, work ethic, character (strengths and weaknesses), interaction with others, and timeliness. We also give the reference the opportunity to offer any additional comments or opinions not covered in the interview. Verifies (or finds as incorrect) the institution attended, date of graduation, the diploma or degree conferred and specialty claimed by the applicant on the employment application. We also verify attendance at colleges and universities by verifying dates of attendance, course of study, and whether the student has declared a major and is working toward a degree. This report verifies that the individual does, in fact, hold a valid professional license as claimed. Confirms current standing of the applicant’s license or certification. Driving records are available in all 50 states and Canada and will generally show violations for the past three years. Major violations (such as DUIs) and certain other violations may appear on the record for five years. A typical report contains violations, suspensions, license information and status, physical description and home address. County - $28.00 per county . Criminal histories are obtained directly from the county courthouses. A typical report will list felony and misdemeanor arrests and convictions and any outstanding warrants. Thirty-five states, including Washington DC, have state repositories providing criminal information covering the whole state. Searches at the Federal Court level are available in all 50 states. Most states have only 1 federal judicial district within their borders. Other states, such as California, may have as many as 4 districts within their borders. Civil litigation histories are available from a variety of courts, just as criminal conviction histories are. They not only reveal the individual’s propensity to sue or be sued, but also provide personal insight into the individual’s character. In addition to detailing past credit history, a personal credit report also lists addresses, social security number, employment information, and information from public records (such as tax liens, judgments or bankruptcy). This report lists all the names and addresses of the people who are currently using that SSN, as reported to the credit bureaus. Other information that may be found on a SSN report is employer information, spouse, year of birth, aliases used, and other SSN’s associated with the individual. Employers find this report useful in providing additional confirmation on the status of resident aliens seeking employment in the U.S. Reports are available from 36 states and the District of Columbia. A workers’ comp history search can help determine if your applicant is physically qualified to perform the essential functions of the job. It can also confirm or reveal unreported prior employment. Use of this report must comply with ADA requirements.
